Absolutely!  Our testing center is independent of our CAEC Prep Program.  We test students from all CAEC Prep programs.

The CAEC (Certificate of Adult Education and Completion) program is designed to help adults achieve a high school equivalency credential, similar to the GED, that is recognized in Alberta.

Both the GED and CAEC programs are designed to help adults achieve high school equivalency credentials. The main difference is that the GED was previously the standard, but has now been replaced by the CAEC in Alberta.

The CAEC program typically takes about 6-20 weeks to complete, depending on the individual’s pace and availability.  Our CAEC On Demand Program can be completed entirely at your own pace.  Individuals taking only 1 subject can finish in less than average times.

The CAEC program covers a variety of subjects, including mathematics, English, science, and social studies, similar to the GED program.

You can enroll in the CAEC program by visiting our website or contacting us directly. Our team is happy to guide you through the enrollment process.  Call us at 780-496-9228.

To take the CAEC exam, you must be at least 18 years old, not currently enrolled in high school, and meet other eligibility requirements specific to Alberta.

Registration for CAEC exams can be done online through our website or by contacting our office directly at 780-496-9228.

You can also register by visiting our testing website directly at: https://testedinc.com/

Exams are administered at our testing center in Edmonton:  420, 10621 – 100 Avenue
Edmonton AB, T5J 0B3

You should bring a valid photo ID, and any necessary testing materials will be provided by CIT. Further instructions will be provided upon registration.

The cost of the CAEC program varies, but there may be funding options available. Please contact us for specific details regarding tuition at 780-496-9228.

"I am so beyond thankful of all the people I have met at careers and transition. For someone that has been out of school for 20+ years taking the courage to do the 20 week GED program was the best decision I’ve done for my self. The support and knowledge the teachers and staff have is beyond. Everytime I had self doubt they always had the right words to reassure me that I made the right choice. Words can’t express how thankful I am and so very excited to see what my future holds."
